The Bluey Boi

A blueberry lavender latte — rich blueberry up front, lightly sweet, and softened with a smooth floral finish.

Baby Root

Matcha with soft lavender and Earl Grey foam — calm, smooth, and easy to enjoy.

Mood Changer

A lightly sweetened Blue jasmine tea — a soft floral pour that transforms before your eyes with a squeeze of lemon.

Maple Sunrise

An Americano with maple, orange, and cinnamon — warm, a little sweet, and finished with a bright citrus twist.

Winter Menu & Holiday Coming Your Way on Nov 27th ❄️

Our team has been hard at work imagining a Winter Menu that meshes past favorites with brand new creations! Coming your way Friday, Nov 27th, this menu features five new drinks for Winter along with a new toast!

Minter Mocha & Hot Chocolate

Our Minter Mocha features house-made mint syrup, dark cocoa, espresso, and steamed milk. Or try the Minter Hot Chocolate with mint syrup, cocoa, steamed milk, house-made whip cream, and Andes mint pieces!

Sugar Plum Matcha

The Sugar Plum Matcha features a house-made syrup made from Rishi Tea Cinnamon Plum Tea. We combine that festive creation with our matcha and your choice of milk for a delightful coffee-free treat.

Golden Milk

Our signature plant based winter drink, this Golden Milk features our Turmeric Ginger tea from Rishi, real maple syrup, black pepper, nutmeg, ginger, more turmeric, and Magic Mylk. It’s a creamy, dreamy treat combined with immune system boosting turmeric, making it the perfect warm drink to ward off the sniffles.

Cookies for Santa Toast

If you love cookie butter, we've got a new toast for you! Our Cookies for Santa Toast features cookie butter, local honey, bananas, cinnamon, and hemp seeds on toasty local sourdough. It's a breakfast and a dessert at the same time, which means you can eat it at any time during the day 😉

GF Spiced Chocolate Chip Cookie

We went ahead and combined the best parts of our Snickerdoodle cookie & our Chocolate Chip Sea Salt cookie to make this gluten-free treat! Ooey gooey and made in house!

Fall Menu is arriving on Autumn Equinox 🍂

We’re so excited to introduce you to our Fall Seasonal menu on the first day of Autumn - Tuesday, September 22nd! Join us starting Tuesday for all things pumpkin, cinnamon, spices, and warmth. Here is a little preview of what’s coming your way on Tuesday:

Smashing Pumpkins Latte

A smash-up of our house-made pumpkin sauce combined with cookie butter make for the perfect pairing with espresso, steamed milk, and cinnamon. You can also get it vegan if you order it with our house-made Magic Mylk (now made with cashew butter, pumpkin seed butter, oats, and sweetened naturally with dates!)

Citrus & Spice Latte

Our house-made spiced citrus syrup combined with espresso & milk.

Woodlands Cider

Our signature fall plant-based drink features apple cider, chai, pomegranate juice, and spices steamed together for the perfect fall treat. If you’re not vegan ask to add a touch of whipped cream!

Golden Apple Creme

A blended drink with apple cider as the base combined with chai, creme, spices, and a touch of Golden Grahams! Topped with cinnamon for all the fall flavors.

Iced Coffee with Flavor:

In a 16oz glass, combine:

7oz cold brew

1oz milk or cream of your choice

1oz vanilla, lucky irish, or honey lavender syrup

Ice to top of glass

Iced “Latte”

In a 16oz glass, combine:

4oz cold brew

4oz milk of your choice

1oz vanilla, lucky irish, or honey lavender syrup

Ice to top of glass

Cold Brew “Old Fashioned” (alcohol free)

In a cocktail glass, combine:

3 dashes of old fashioned bitters

3oz cold brew

Pinch of sugar or 1/2oz of vanilla or simple syrup

Stir to combine

2oz chilled Topo Chico or other sparkling water

Top with big ice cube and garnish with an orange peel

What a week.

It's been a crazy week for our little coffee company. After almost eleven years in this business, we never could have imagined that in the span of 10 days we'd lose more than half our business, close our cafe seating, and, worst of all, have to furlough 75% of our staff.  Our hearts are heavy for our community - but we're not without hope! We hope for the day when you gather around our tables again and when our entire team of amazing baristas is back to work.
In the mean time, if you are able to help in any way, we've created a virtual tip jar for our furloughed staff. 100% of this goes to the baristas that are on furlough until our cafe can fully open again.Any bit helps and we're forever grateful.Thank you for loving our community so well - your support and kindness mean the world to us.

We're working with The Proof Bakery (Fort Worth, TX) to supply their sourdough & pasta, as well as selling single-origin chocolate from Sublime (Allen, TX), local honey from Walker Farms (Rogers, TX), Fox & Otter Pickles (Grapevine, TX), wholebean from Novel Coffee Roasters (Dallas, TX), and a selection of wines by the bottle! New Menu for Spring!

Friends, we are so excited to be launching our new Spring Seasonal Menu today! Our baristas have been hard at work putting together a menu that revolves around the Spring flavors of Lavender, Lemon, and Blueberry and we're super proud of the results! This menu will feature not only three signature drinks for spring, but also a brand new plant-based signature drink, two new sandwiches, a new seasonal cheese board, new house made baked goods, and a new for spring Toast!⁣ Scroll down to see, then stop by to sip!

🍋 Pictured above is our Lavender Palmer, a perfect spring drink option that combines house-made lavender syrup, fresh squeezed lemon juice, cold brew, and some fizz to top it off!

🐝 It's back! Pictured above is our Honey Lavender Latte. With local Sunnyvale honey, house-made lavender syrup, espresso, and steamed milk, this drink has been a longtime spring crowd-pleaser!

🍵 Pictured above is our Roseway Matcha. Our community loved the rose syrup we had for Valentines so much, we decided to make it a staple in this drink! The Roseway Matcha is available iced or hot and is the perfect botanical start to a spring day!

Totally vegan, we welcome The Botanist (pictured right) to our Spring Plant Based Menu! This signature drink combines fluffy oat milk infused with rose botanicals, then a shot of espresso mixed with house-made vanilla and cold oat milk, topped with rose petals! Joining it’s staple friend, the Sea Salt Mocha, on the Plant Based Signature Menu, we hope you’ll love this vegan drink as much we do!

Meet the Hummingbird Toast! A Spring addition to our breakfast menu, this toast has got it all - whipped cream cheese, blueberry jam, lemon zest, honey, and an edible flower.

Two new sandwiches for Spring - the Green Goddess and the Sgt Pepper Grilled Cheese! The Green Goddess combines white cheddar, arugula, avocado, tomato, and hummus on toasty bread. It’s also available vegan upon request. The Sgt Pepper Grilled Cheese is melty white cheddar, pepper jam, and prosciutto toasted to perfection!

We’re also excited to add new veggies as a side option on both these sandwiches! Grab them with cucumbers, mini peppers, and hummus or chips & hummus.

The Seasonal Cheese Board for Spring has prosciutto, gouda, white cheddar, chorizo (while supplies last), pepper jam, arugula salad with blueberries, and toasty sourdough & pecans! This board is great for sharing with a friend over a glass of wine from our wine by the glass menu!

House-made baked goods for Spring include the Vegan and GF Lemon Blueberry Bar (pictured left), GF Lavender Lemon Cake (pictured right), GF Sea Salt Chocolate Chip Cookie, and GF Banana Blueberry Muffin!

Roots Fort Worth Opens December 2nd! Soft open 11/30 & 12/1 from 8am-12pm.

Join us on Monday, December 2nd for our opening day, or this weekend for our soft opening! We’re so excited to share this space with our Fort Worth community! This space showcases local furniture and shelving by Freeform Made, Brown Woodcraft, and Travis Trimble plus plants by Grow. Our menu will feature as many of our local favorites as possible - including: Novel Coffee Roasters, Funky Picnic, The Proof Bakery, Boopas Bagel Deli, Sunnyvale Honey, DFW Organics, Sublime Chocolate, Holy Kombucha, and more!

Stop by in the morning for a thick slice of avocado toast or a savory scone paired with a cappuccino or one our signature lattes. In the afternoon, choose from two sandwiches, a veggie snack plate, or our full toast menu served all day (vegan)! Gluten free and vegan pastries (made in house) are also available, along with a keto-friendly option for our low-carb friends.

Lavender Palmer

A combination of fresh squeezed lemon juice, house-made lavender syrup, cold brew, and topo chico! Pairs great with our new Lavender Lemon Cake!

Strawberry Fields

House-made strawberry-mint sauce mixed with topo chico and a strawberry ice cube, topped with a dash of heavy cream and garnish.

Summer Cold Brew

Our classic cold brew, sweetened lightly with a dash of vanilla and milk.

Weekend Mimosa

(surprise!)

Layers of orange juice, strawberry ice cube, and champagne! Happy Weekend! (Sat & Sun only)

We are so excited about summer, because in addition to all the fun in the sun we'll be having, we also get to drink these amazing new coffee creations from our team here at Roots! Introducing three totally brand new summer signature drinks!

The Coffee Palmer

This is the Coffee Palmer - a drink inspired by our friends over at Novel Coffee Roasters, but with our own twist! Think of it as a friendly coffee lemonade with enough zing and zest to cool down even the hottest of Texas summer days

Strawberry Cortado

This is the Strawberry Cortado (or Berrytado!) Its a blend of housemade strawberry vanilla sauce, espresso, and steamed milk, topped with strawberry sugar for a light sweetness. Its also available as an iced latte, if you'd rather take it to go.

Summer Cold Brew

Meet the Summer Cold Brew - this bit of iced coffee goodness is 12-hour cold brew mixed with our signature concoction of vanilla and just the right amount of sweetness.

Spotlight on Coffee: Veracruz Mexico

Selecting and sourcing the finest coffees is protocol over at Novel Coffee Roasters - and they've done it again with the new Veracruz Mexico. 

"Among Mexican coffee-growing regions, Veracruz is lesser-known than its neighbor Chiapas to the east. But this year farms in Veracruz produced some of the best coffee in Mexico, sweeping the top three in the Cup of Excellence.

Our coffee comes from 16 farms who have worked together since 2009 to increase quality, collectively known as Productores de Café Sustentable de Baxtla. Their crop was a standout on the cupping table this year at the first ever Best of Mexico competition held by Cafe Imports."

Upcoming Events!

We have some amazing upcoming events at Roots, in continuation of our Late Nights @ Roots event series. 

We are most excited about our Second Annual Buy Local Event! Last year, we set up all the Roots local suppliers farmers market style in the shop as they gave out samples, demonstrated the processes, and more for customers. This year, we plan to have even more local food suppliers out to celebrate with us and share their fantastic local products.

The lineup this year includes: Holy Kombucha, Novel Coffee Roasters, Fox+Otter, Roots Juices, Stir Crazy Bakery, and more! Don't miss this event - it will be October 4th from 2pm-4pm.
