Open since early 2009, Roots Coffeehouse serves Tarrant County the best fair trade and organic coffees & teas. Located in the heart of North Richland Hill’s Venue at Hometown, Roots invites you to come by and try our specialty fair trade coffee, our signature RED espresso, or perhaps a crowd favorite – the Honey Vanilla Latte paired with a freshly baked Healthy Harvest muffin. We offer you free wifi, comfortable seating, late hours, and live music on the weekend – all nestled in a cozy, artsy, indie, community coffeehouse. Come on by – we can’t wait to meet you!
Excellent coffee – that’s what you can expect from Roots. Specially crafted beverages, artfully pulled espresso, and a drink that will make you smile. We use a fully manual La Marzocco Linea espresso machine – so every drink you get was created by a barista, not a machine. Check out our menu for more info on our drinks.
Roots Coffeehouse strives to incorporate care for the world and for people in everything we do. From sourcing our coffee, tea, and other items ethically to using local ingredients as much as possible, we make every effort to do right by our community and communities abroad.
At Roots, don’t expect us to put your drink in a paper cup unless you ask. Our cup here is a ceramic cup as we strive to reduce our environmental footprint. We also recycle as much as possible and all of our coffee grounds go to the North Richland Hills Community Garden or to composts.
Roots supports social justice causes as much as possible. From promoting awareness of human trafficking, to screening a documentary about the exploited cocoa industry in the Ivory Coast, to hosting fundraisers with local non-profits, we try to educate people about the needs of the world.
